Salary: $150,000 - 170,000 per year Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, platform, or cloud engineering, including at least 4 years working with Azure at enterprise scale across multiple subscriptions and environments.
• Extensive, demonstrable experience authoring Azure DevOps YAML pipelines, including multi-stage pipelines, reusable and parameterized templates, deployment jobs, environments, approvals, and variable group strategies.
• Production-level Bicep experience, including modular design, parameter and output practices, conditional deployments, resource group, subscription, management group, and tenant scopes, and integration with deployment stacks or ARM what-if workflows.
• Strong PowerShell scripting skills for automation, remediation, and tooling, including familiarity with Az PowerShell modules and Microsoft Graph PowerShell.
• Solid command of Git workflows and a clear approach to branching, pull request reviews, and release strategies at scale.
• Working expertise in Azure services such as Entra ID, Key Vault, Storage, App Service, Functions, AKS or Container Apps, Application Gateway, Front Door, Log Analytics, and Azure Monitor.
• Proven ability to work directly with application developers as a technical peer.
• Experience establishing standards and achieving adoption through code, documentation, and collaboration, without relying on formal authority.
• Azure certifications such as AZ-400, AZ-305, or AZ-104 are a plus.

• Architect Azure DevOps YAML pipelines and reusable templates for organization-wide use.
• Lead the design, refactoring, and governance of our Bicep module library.
• Define module boundaries, parameter conventions, target-scope strategies, and versioning across subscriptions and environments.
• Partner directly with application development teams in design reviews, translating platform constraints into developer-friendly patterns and developer needs into platform capabilities.
• Improve deployment frequency, lead time for changes, change failure rate, and mean time to recovery, and build instrumentation to measure progress.
• Work closely with our Security team on Azure Policy and Defender posture.
• Reduce operational toil by developing self-service tooling.
• Mentor DevOps I and II engineers and developers learning infrastructure as code; use pull request reviews as teaching opportunities, and create architecture decision records, runbooks, and onboarding documentation.
• Lead post-incident reviews focused on systemic improvements and participate in the platform on-call rotation.

We are hiring a Senior Azure DevOps Engineer for a full-time, permanent, onsite role in Raleigh, North Carolina. In this position, you will own the design and direction of our infrastructure as code and Azure CI/CD pipelines, serving as the key technical link between DevOps and application development. The role offers significant autonomy and the opportunity to make architectural decisions affecting multiple teams while helping elevate engineering practices across the organization.
